His concern for people is again the motivating factor in the actions of Jesus. Note that it is not His prayer that is said for the people’s sake, but His thanksgiving; He has already prayed. Jesus would have everyone know that He did nothing of Himself. All that He did was for the glory of God and dependent upon the power of God.

Jesus told the Father that He knew that the Father always hears Him. Do we have such confidence? We should!
