The servants obey even though it may seem foolish to them. Their obedience is going to be the vehicle through which they and many others get blessed.
Sometimes, the things we do are like drawing water and putting it into water pots. It seems like useless work with seemingly no result. We obey because we know we should, but it can become drudgery if we let it. However, Jesus takes the common water of our prayers and turns them into the wine of His answer. He takes that which we offer to Him and turns it into something beautiful and powerful. Though it may seem our prayer is not accomplishing anything, Jesus is going to use it to accomplish His will on earth.
Note that Jesus had them draw the water out so that it could be used. He didn’t leave the water in the jars so the wine could be admired. The things He gives are for use. Whatever He has given you is not to be laid dormant, but picked up and used for the Kingdom and His glory.
