Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”

“And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified…”  (KJV) Oh, that this could be said of us!

Most of the town was undoubtedly aware of the sin of this woman, but for her to testify of it and how Jesus had rebuked her for it would have been a very humbling thing to do, and yet she left her water pot to go do this very thing.

The great irony of this passage is that the Jews rejected what the righteous prophets and John the Baptist said about Jesus but the Samaritans accepted the testimony of this woman, and she was a sinner. Don’t ever think that God can’t use you or that you aren’t good enough for God to use. He used this Samaritan woman to reach her whole town for Jesus. What can He do through you?
