What if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
The sentence is a question and thus unfinished, with no indication as to how Jesus intended it. Perhaps the implication is that if they stumbled at His words of Him being the Bread from Heaven, how much more would they stumble if He told them that He, a man, was going to ascend back to heaven from which He came.
