He spoke these words while teaching in the temple area near the place where the offerings were put. Yet no-one seized him, because his time had not yet come.
“near the place where the offerings were put” = in the Court of Women close to where the 13 trumpet-shaped collection boxes were placed. The woman caught in adultery could have been brought here, but no further into the Temple.
Jesus was in the very lair of His enemies, and yet no one could arrest Him, not for lack of desire or opportunity, but because it was not yet His time. His enemies were powerless to hurt Him until God the Father allowed it. We too, are in the hands of God and nothing can happen to us that He doesn’t allow and then use for our benefit. Rom 8:28
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
